Tabletop sealer

This question was asked by

I have a white concrete table which is a little old and the paint/stain is starting to rub off in a few places (i don’t know how it was finished before and the company has gone into administration so i cant find out). I have seen some tinted concrete sealers but all seem us based. Could you add some of your concrete stain to the water based sealer?

I wouldn’t recommend using a tinted sealer as this will begin to wear off fairly quickly and will need redoing ever couple/few years.

A much better option will be to use the Endura solid stain, if the prep is done correctly (see the videos section) it is a long term almost permanent solution as the stain soaks into the concrete rather than sitting on the surface.

It is a bit more time consuming and initially more expensive as you need to strip off any existing coating and then profile the surface (all in the videos) before applying the stain, but, in the long run it will be the most cost effective solution .

Can this be used outside and do l need to seal it? I live in Scotland so can be a bit wet.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Yes it can be used on external concrete surfaces and yes it would need to be sealed afterward with this particular stain, the only stain that doesn’t require sealing is the Endura Solid stain.

does this product stabilise the kiln dried sand between the joints.
I would need enough to cover 190m2 plse advise

Thank you for your enquiry.

Yes it will solidify the sand joints, for 190m2 I would recommend getting 3 x 20litres.
